The Inlingua method
Across the entire Inlingua network, our unique method is used to teach both widely-spoken and rare languages. It is universal and has proven effective at every stage of training for students of every nationality.
The Inlingua method is a complete "know-how" approach built on three components:
- Proprietary teaching technologies
- Original course materials
- Professional teachers
Our teaching technologies were developed in the late 1960s and have been continuously refined through decades of classroom practice. Course materials are designed in Bern by leading specialists and published exclusively for association schools by the Inlingua Bern publishing house in Switzerland.
Our teachers are highly qualified specialists who have completed special training at national Inlingua language centres. Learning with the Inlingua method means comfortable training and free dialogue in the foreign language.

The "golden rules" of the Inlingua method
- Lessons are conducted entirely in the target language — no translation
- The focus is on building real-world conversational skills in authentic dialogue situations
- The teacher acts as a facilitator and coach; the student speaks, listens and engages
- Minimum theory, maximum examples and practice
- Continuous monitoring of student progress
- Creativity is actively developed during lessons
- Speech accuracy is consistently tracked
- Lessons take place in a comfortable, lively and dynamic atmosphere
